Regional Midwifery announces the retirement of Sue Holliday, CNM

Cara Wolf News

Regional Midwifery is both happy and sad to announce the retirement of beloved Nurse Midwife Sue Holliday at the end of this month.

Sue has over 40 years of nursing experience. She first enlisted in the Army and spent 22 years serving our country, during which time she trained to work as a Certified Nurse Midwife. In 2006, she joined Duke University and trained resident physicians.  She came to Regional Midwifery in December of 2014 and has been an integral part to the growth and success of the midwifery program of Durham Women’s Clinic and Chapel Hill OB/GYN.

Sue will be remembered for her passion for women’s health, her healing touch and presence in the birthing room, as well as her witty humor, creativity and loving, and generous heart.

Sue will be retiring to her home state of Michigan (the Upper Peninsula to be exact!). We wish her calm and peace in her new adventures.

See you later, “Oh dear one!”
